Here is a sweet little quote from a fan...
"I was bored, not drinking (long story) and hanging out in Burlington, so I went into Radio Bean to buy myself a cup of tea. The dark-haired book-reading girl at the door was kind enough to let me drift in without paying the cover. As the door absently swung closed behind me and the dim red lights hummed into my head with the help of the melodic, river-like blues of the trio huddled by the door, I felt as if I’d just waded into a dark and shallow hollow of Otter Creek. The current pushed my legs around the huddled stones of listeners, laying low, covered by song, amazed by the ease of the music, I stood a bit unsteady, confused, tried to take it in. I caught my grip on the bar and heard this snow-born water flow through the space: the walls, the band, the sound, myself; all of it inseparable and somehow warm. Seth Eames played up and down the neck of his black guitar as if he’s done so for hundreds of years, and his calm, scratchy voice echoed the notion. Meanwhile the drummer, Jeremy Lavine, hit back and forth between hollows of white water, and the bass of Ralph Eames floated through the thick and easy blues like a leaf. Pick this album up; you’ll know what I mean. “Open Road” captures the sound of these boys well. Put it on, get in the river, and be carried..."
